Satan’s Temptation Tactics

Regarding wealth, to have money isn’t evil, but the lust for it is, as it is written “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” 1 Timothy 6:10.

Remember what John wrote in 1 John 2:16 “For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.” These are the tactics of temptations which Satan has used on Eve and also Yeshua after His baptism by John the Baptist and after then, the Holy Spirit brought Him to the wilderness where He fasted for 40 nights and 40 days.

How Yeshua was tempted:
And the tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.”
Matthew 4:3 ESV >> Lust of the Flesh

and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written, “‘He will command his angels concerning you,’ and “‘On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.’”
Matthew 4:6 ESV >> Pride of life

And he said to him, “All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.”
Matthew 4:9 ESV >> Lust of the Eye

How Eve was tempted:
The Serpent spoke only twice to Eve. Gen. 3:4 & 5 points to pride of life while verse 1 to both lusts of eye and flesh. He casted doubts into Eve and she was deceived. So, Verse 6 was the result. Genesis 3:6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food (Lust of the Flesh), and that it was a delight to the eyes (Lust of the Eyes), and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise (Pride of Life), she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate.

Keep these temptations tactics in mind.
